The Challenge
The Big Biscuit already had a recognizable brand filled with bold typography, playful illustrations, and plenty of personality. What it did not have was a dedicated online home for its growing merchandise collection. My job was to take the existing brand assets and translate them into a complete e-commerce experience—one that felt unmistakably like The Big Biscuit without simply duplicating the restaurant website. The store needed to make the merchandise the focus while preserving the humor, energy, and visual character people already associated with the brand.
What I Owned
The Approach
Make buying a T-shirt feel as fun as Sunday Brunch
A dedicated e-commerce destination that turns The Big Biscuit’s existing brand assets into a complete and cohesive shopping experience. The finished site gives the merchandise room to stand on its own while maintaining a strong connection to the restaurant brand. Customers can browse the collection, explore product options, and make a purchase through a storefront that feels playful, familiar, and unmistakably Big Biscuit.
Inside the Build
Brand Extension
I transformed The Big Biscuit’s existing logos, illustrations, typography, and colors into a dedicated online store that feels like a natural extension of the restaurant brand
Custom Storefront
I built a focused WooCommerce experience that makes it easy to browse merchandise, view product photography, choose sizes and colors, and add items to the cart.
Responsive Shopping
Category controls help visitors move between different types of stories, while the underlying template keeps new video content consistent and easy to expand.
I developed a custom template system that keeps the presentation consistent while allowing visitors to explore individual leaders and their stories.
