The Challenge

Horizon Systems needed a website capable of presenting a large amount of technical information without making the experience feel overwhelming. The supplied mockups established the visual direction, but they could not define every interaction, responsive behavior, or content relationship required for a working website. My job was to transform those static designs into a complete WordPress experience—and determine how the site should actually behave along the way.

What I Owned

I completed the full WordPress build from the provided mockups, translating the designs into reusable page structures and responsive components.

I also designed and implemented the interactive behavior that existed between the static screens, including navigation states, calls to action, custom section treatments, product inquiry forms, and responsive behavior.

01 / FULL WORDPRESS IMPLEMENTATION
Built the complete website from supplied design mockups.

02 / RESPONSIVE DEVELOPMENT
Determined how layouts, typography, navigation, images, and interactive components should adapt across desktop, tablet, and mobile.

03 / INTERACTION DESIGN
Designed and developed the menus, hover states, buttons, forms, transitions, and other behaviors that brought the static designs to life.

04 / REUSABLE COMPONENTS
Created consistent page patterns capable of supporting Horizon’s industries, solutions, services, and extensive product catalog.

The Approach

Make a complex industrial website feel clear, intentional, and easy to use.

A complete, responsive WordPress website that preserves the supplied visual direction while adding the structure, reusable components, custom styling, and interaction design required for a real-world industrial product experience. Visitors can move between industries, solutions, services, and products—and take action directly from the content they are exploring.

01 / Interpret

Look beyond the mockups

I studied the supplied designs as a system rather than a collection of isolated pages. This helped me identify recurring patterns, determine which elements should become reusable components, and anticipate layouts and interactions that were not explicitly shown.

02 / Build

Turn visual ideas into working components

I recreated the designs in WordPress while developing the responsive rules, custom CSS, and interactive behavior necessary to make them work in a real browser.

03 / Refine

Connect the experience

I focused on the details that make a website feel finished: navigation states, button behavior, section transitions, popup forms, responsive adjustments, and consistent feedback throughout the experience.
